i can just see you show me your garden
i thought you’d grow roses and grapes on low vines
i wanted to know you when we were both older
i thought there’d be more of those wonderful times
i can lie to myself and say i like it
but i would love it if you were here
i’m just sad for myself cause i know you’re clear

What’s this? A weekend of Canadian Sarahs? Sound fantastic! Sarah Harmer is a Canadian staple. My absolute favorite album is Songs for Clem. I could listen to it every day. I believe the story goes she recorded it for her father, Clem. A bunch of old favourites on a wonderful old piano…the last track, piano only, “Oh, my beloved father” is a delight. Bears repeating: A DELIGHT. iTunes has it.
